Hi everybody,

I am not very familiar with video standards. I need to know if I can demodulate an FM modulated video signal with TDA9886. On the datasheet of TDA9886, it claims that it is a demodulator for FM TV. However, the block diagram given in the datasheet looks more like an AM demodulator for video and FM demodulator for sound. The block diagram is below. The datasheet for TDA9886 can be found here: http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sh...85_TDA9886.pdf

Thanks in advance.

You are correct.  It is an AM demod for video and an FM demod for audio.  This will not work to demodulate your FM video signal.
