What is the advantage of 1N4001 over 1N4007

hello everyone,
What is the advantage of 1N4001 over 1N4007?  I did not find any advantage comparing the datasheet. In local market, prices are equal. Then why is 1N4001 still being produced?

If you are choosing a diode for a retifier in a power supply circuit, definately choose the 1N4007.  If, however, you are choosing a diode for a circuit in which the capacitance of the diode will be a factor then you will find that these two diodes have different capacitance charastistics.  As shown in the partial data below, the 1N4001 has typical capacitance of 15pF and the 1N4007 has typical capacitance of 8pF.
