A Student Network for Collaboration and Sharing
Do you know all the ins and outs of your calculator. Your calculator is one of your pieces of equipment. You should get to know it well. If you have any tips or trick on how to best use your calculator in your electronics classes, please share them with us here.
I don't know about other calculator models, but if you have a TI-83 or TI-84 calculator, your AC calculations can be done much easier if you use the complex rectangular display or the complex polar display mode. The link here at tc3 tells you all about it. It can seem a little difficult at first but once you get the hang of it your calculations become much easier. If you have any questions about how to us complex numbers in your electronics calculations, please leave me a reply or send me a message. I will be glad to help you.
